ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm an actor, pianist, biostatistician, and food blogger. I was born in the Philippines, grew up in India and Zimbabwe, and then moved to the US at the age of 17 for undergrad - where I perfected my American accent.

I studied neuroscience and acting at Vassar College. After receiving a BA Phi Beta Kappa, I moved to NYC and have been here ever since. I've performed at various Off-Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway theaters including the June Havoc Theatre, The Heights Players, The Hudson Guild, and Theater for the New City. I've performed as an improv comic at The New York Comedy Club, earned a Masters degree in Biostatistics along the way, and most recently appeared on HBO's Random Acts of Flyness by A24.

I love to cook and explore my Filipino heritage through food. You can check out my instructional cooking and baking videos on my YouTube channel "Cooking with Kurt". I'm always working to improve Asian and LGBTQ representation in media, interact with the world as much as possible, and push the limit of my desires and capabilities. Mabuhay!
